Welcome to my LinkedIn page. When I went to college in 1990 I was asked what I wanted to study in college. I said, "I want to learn how to use computers to solve businesses problems and help them run more efficiently." I know it was a bit nerdy but as the son of two school teachers I was fascinated by how large companies operated and by what all those people in office buildings did all day. Fast forward 20ish years and I am still helping companies solve problems and run more efficiently.My latest problem to solve was helping MetLife implement FINEOS, cloud based SaaS, from zero to operational in 24 months. It is a big role change as I moved from API expert to platform and program leader. So far we have delivered two releases on time with two releases to go. It’s been a a great experience in cloud, SaaS, integration, program management, big budgets, and leading a diverse army of people around the globe. Prior to that I consolidated MetLife’s integration and API practice into the companies top rated shared service and COE. After succeeding internally we took our internally expertise externally to talk with key distribution partners, made APIs cool, and drove industry standards. These and many other results have relied on setting or helping set the strategy and then delivering results. After 20 years I have learned that I execute. Lots of people can draw pictures and talk complex ideas. I prefer simple and clear strategy followed by execution. Finally, I love talent. I like to learn from and contribute to smart hard working people. Finding the people who can execute a strategy through talent, focus, and process.
