The Travis Mills Foundation supports recalibrated veterans and their families through various programs that help these heroic men and women overcome physical and emotional obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation. The Foundation was established by U.S. Army SSG (Ret.) Travis Mills.

BASAF’s primary mission is to award scholarships to eligible high school graduates who pursue post-secondary education, not only at four-year colleges and universities, but also at trade schools, technical schools, junior colleges, and similar institutions. BASAF provides all of its scholarships (with the exception of the Mt. Ararat Computer Scholarship Award) on the basis of student financial need using data obtained from the student’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Today, BASAF has an endowment in excess of $4 million allocated to more than 40 named funds. BASAF also receives a significant amount of annual support from, and is the sole beneficiary of, the Marion McKenney Booker and Emery W. Booker Education Trust.
