About Chad Starnes
My goal is to partner with people and organizations that are focused on innovation. As the lines between the automotive industry, power production, and information technology blur, the coming ubiquity of autonomous and electric vehicles and the associated technological advancements will change the world as much as, if not more than, the growth of the internet. This will revolutionize ground transportation at every level including personal travel, both local and cross-country, and of course commercial transportation. And as the electric vehicle becomes a practical stand-in for the traditional diesel and gasoline powered vehicles of today, this will provide unprecedented capacity for electrical energy storage that can be synchronized to the grid when the vehicle would otherwise be unused. This storage capacity will make renewable energy more effective in offsetting the use of fossil fuels as solar and wind energy cannot be collected on demand but rather as it is available. This is an exciting time, and I want play a part in what happens next. Much of my career has been spent working in and around power plants, but my interests extend to many different areas including manufacturing, data analysis, software development, testing, risk analysis, and of course automotive engineering. Education has also been a large focus of my life, both as a student and as an educator; I have been, and will continue to be, a lifelong learner. And I am always thrilled to take on new challenges.
Listed skills include Engineering, Power Plants, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, and 48 others.
