PhytoWorks, Inc. was an early-stage biotechnology company developing phytoremediation technologies for heavy metal and organic contaminant remediation. Primary technologies included genetically engineered plants for mercury uptake and immunoassays to identify plant species and genotypes best suited to breaking down organic contaminants into inert byproducts.

Internship at the Philadelphia Field Office for my Masters program in Conservation Biology. Worked with the Protection Division on landowner contacts; acquisition strategies; and stewardship of TNC reserves. Background for Masters thesis on a bioregional approach to land acquisition.
