Gathered cost and timing for over 70 engineering change requests and aided product team in effecting over 50 engineering changes. Worked with product team to submit MCM to change some laser trim areas of components to pre-developed trim with significant piece price and capital savings.- Assisted Chrysler with SIB design and optimization that ensured passage of federal safety standard FMVSS214 and internal component targets for the Dodge Challenger.- Program Manager for the 2011 Cadillac CTS side impact beam and 2011 Jeep Cherokee front floor cross member program.- Part of team that made the Mason Engineering Department independent of Sweden for technical support and documentation of all incoming hot stamping RFQs. Product Engineer / Structures Group - Small Car PlatformTeam Leader for Pedestrian Impact involved in organizing and conducting meetings, writing minutes, and coordinating analyses. Monitored structural integrity of small car design in order for the vehicle to pass Federal Safety Standards with emphasis on hood, front floor, and roof. Handled weld placement and weld certification, specifically for hood, front floor underbody, and roof. Monitored and reported Federal Safety Standard tests (excluding crash events).- Lead a cross functional team responsible for achieving targeted 1 star pedestrian rating for European Dodge Caliber, and 2-star rating for Dodge Avenger and Chrysler Sebring. EuroNCAP testing confirmed 1-star Caliber performance, and internal testing confirmed 2-star Avenger and Sebring performance.- Team Leader for the Dodge Avenger and Chrysler Sebring project that met and/or surpassed targets for all federal safety standards relating to hood, front floor and roof. Among tests conducted were FMVSS 207/210 (Seat Belt Anchorage), FMVSS 216 (Roof Crush), and FMVSS 113 (hood latch system).- Lead for BIW underbody weld certification for the Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger at Sterling Heights Assembly Plant. Passed all certifications and worked with team to reduce overall number of welds in upperbody and underbody BIW.- Wrote and submitted reports for federal safety standards certification relating to hood, front floor, and roof (excluding dynamic crash events).- Updated and tracked DVP & R for hood, roof, front floor, and pedestrian impact issues.- Contract employee initially through Porsche Engineering Services and subsequently hired direct.

Generated multiple design solutions based on results.- Utilized NASTRAN to determine strength, durability, and natural frequencies of various seats, front and rear mounts, door frames, splash panels, door assemblies, back panels, and hoods for International Truck & Engine Corporation (Navistar) truck cabs.- Conducted strength, durability and NVH analyses of various components for General Motors SSR and HHR programs.- Used thermal expansion analysis to determine problem areas (cracking) of chrome plating on plastic grills. Solution resulted in savings from lower scrap rate and reduction in chrome plating applied to the part.- Team member that constructed and updated several BIW models for General Motors, Saturn, International Truck & Engine Corporation (Navistar) vehicles.
