Chad Mayer, Executive Director, is the co-founder of Sharefest. Prior to founding Sharefest, Chad served in the United States Air Force, as an Account Manager at Missionview Technologies, and as Assistant Pastor at King’s Harbor Church. His unique combination of leadership skills, marketing savvy, and commitment to community has powered Sharefest’s growth and impact. Under his leadership, the organization has grown from a grassroots effort to coordinate a day of community service into a year-round youth development organization that engages 350+ youth, 3,000+ volunteers, and dozens of partnering organizations. During one of the worst economic downturns in our nation’s history, Chad’s vision and guidance allowed Sharefest to grow and create positive change in struggling, underserved communities.Chad has received numerous awards, certificates, and attention from local civic and governmental groups for his positive community impact. He has served on the LA Mayor's Community Service Advisory Cabinet, Harbor Gateway and Wilmington Task Force, Alcoa Fastening Systems Community Advisory Board, and Phillips 66 Education Roundtable. His commendations include: The Daily Breeze Person of Distinction Award; The City of Los Angeles Certificate of Appreciation; The City of Redondo Beach Mayor’s Commendation and Proclamation Awards; The City of Los Angeles Certificate of Appreciation; The Certificate of Recognition from the Secretary of State; and, The President’s Call to Service Award
