Positions held: EMEA Content Support Engineer, MSN UK Project Services Developer and Content/Operations Specialist. (MSN EMEA Production Team)Responsibilities: Part of essential teams, providing support and maintenance of MSN Internet services including:• Troubleshooting live site issues for the portals of 9 MSN EMEA countries. Determine cause of problem (ICP feed vs. server issue) and resolve or escalate. Work with Internet Content Providers (ICPs) on setting up new CDF feeds. Educate them on MSN’s content publishing system. Assist them with any issues. • Documenting all resolved and escalated issues using a ticketing system to enable other teams to be able to track progress of content issues. Proactive investigation of portal sites to find live site issues and content errors, fixing or escalating these. • Build new content and transfer existing content successfully into new Global User Interface (MSN 7), responsible for Sports, Business, Love and News channels for UK portal. Assisted in the visual development of MSN portal site. Provide graphics assistance. Manipulate images to get them within size restrictions.• Build content into EMEA MSN portal sites and work with Events Team to create event specials, including new templates when necessary.• Understand the intricacies of the site content publishing system (Atlantis). Support other members of the team on Atlantis issues; provide training to new members.
