Working on the Detector of Recoils and Gammas of Nuclear Reactions (DRAGON) implementing the recently commissioned SONIK scattering chamber to measure ³He + α scattering cross sections at 7 energies. My work here included assembly and vacuum testing of the new scattering chamber, calibration of silicon detectors using a known radioactive source, aligning the particle beam, making changes in the beam energy, and supervising the experiment as it progressed.
