* Supervise a team of accountants responsible for processing commission payments to hundreds of independent agents located in domestic and international locations* Perform monthly analysis of financial results versus forecasts and prior periods to support management decision making; identify and investigate variances* Record all prepaid, allocations, accruals, and related party eliminations to support the monthly close* Developed various Excel-based templates that leverage macro functionality and other advanced functions to automate the recording and posting of various transactions; automated the balance sheet reconciliation to improve accuracy and reduce processing time* Led aspects of the integration of the accounting records for three acquisitions; imported and reconciled transactions from their accounting systems to the firm’s general ledger* Serve as the primary liaison between the firm and the external auditor; respond to all information requests for audit evidence and respond to audit-related inquiries* Respond to ad hoc reporting requests (profitability analyses, sales and commission reporting) from the CFO and senior management* Lead monthly expense review meeting
