I graduated with Master in Environmental Building Design from University of Pennsylvania. I am passionate about learning and applying strategies to promote an efficient and sustainable design-build process in the AEC industry.Hold 8 years of experience as an Architect and a Project Architect, where I managed and delivered projects ranging from healthcare, educational, multi family residential and transit projects in the US and Asia. Worked for MNCs like AECOM, Cannon Design and Dar al Handasah wherein I took charge of multiple projects in a fast paced setup. Managed small to large scale projects , leading a team of 5 through SD, DD and CD stages of projects. Trained professionals and students in concepts of Revit and BIM through online workshops.I strongly believe that architecture should be a sustainable endeavor. Through the master program and my past experiences, I have acquired hands-on experience in carbon accounting, energy accounting, energy modeling and analysis, building performance and comfort analysis, daylight modeling, life cycle assessment of building scopes and materials, CFD analysis for temperature, velocity, pollutant level, and smoke propagation. I have conducted LCA a for mass-timber building and evaluated it through environmental, health and social lenses. Additionally, I developed Whole building life cycle assessment (WBLCA) for a residential building and studied multiple design options and their impact on carbon footprint (including embodied and operational carbon). In the past, I also conducted compliance studies of California Green Building Code Title 24 for healthcare projects in California.My training for certifications LEED AP BD+C and "zero energy design" have imparted robust knowledge of LEED process and various industry standards and codes like ASHRAE, Title 24 etc.
