As part of my master's thesis, which was conducted between May 2022 and January 2023, I examined the impact of temperature and forming speed on the formability of AZ31 sheets during the roll forming process. To facilitate this, I utilized SolidWorks to design forming dies and workpieces and integrated subroutines for the Simufact Forming software. Additionally, I acquired proficiency in utilizing the HyperStudy tool to optimize model parameters in simulations.During my research, I assessed the effectiveness of the GTN damage model in predicting material failure and fractures during the roll forming process using experimental data. I ultimately derived a process window with the use of the GTN damage model to showcase the relationship between process parameters and cracks in AZ31 sheet metal. In summary, my master's thesis afforded me the opportunity to apply my expertise in CAD software and simulation tools to explore a specific topic in Metal Forming while gaining valuable experience in research, experimentation, and data analysis.

Over the past six months, I have worked as a student assistant and focused on extensively reviewing literature related to Metal Forming courses. My main responsibility was to gather and analyze academic material to gain a deep understanding of the subject matter. Additionally, I was in charge of creating and editing teaching manuals for course lectures, using MS Office to ensure that they were comprehensive and easy to comprehend. As part of my administrative duties, I organized sessions for lecture explanations, aiming to provide students with the necessary resources to enhance their learning experience. Overall, this research student job allowed me to sharpen my research, writing, and organizational skills, while gaining valuable expertise in Metal Forming.
