Contractor Division Dedicated Fleet Driver

My position as a Certified Medical Assistant at Our Children's Clinic has included both Administrative and Clinical responsibilities. Clinical duties involved taking patient vital measurements, performing in-house labs, and assisting our physicians and PAs as needed. Through my Administrative assignments, I assist my team in answering the telephone, patient check-in/out, and appointment setting. I help in preparing patient charts and confirming scheduled appointments. I am also working closely with our Insurance and Billing specialists. I verify patient insurance coverage under various plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicaid, Cigna, and other policies accepted by our office. I am able to advise my fellow teammates and our patients' parents of the benefits their policies entitle them to as well as the financial obligation they have with reqard to these policies as they relate to office visits. I work with some collections, helping review monthly statements and reaching out to families for collection and payment options. Recently, I have begun assisting our Medical Records clerk as well, working with new patients and other facilities in transfer/establishment of care.
