Current● Ensures patients are well-informed about financial and insurance aspects of their care● Conducts patient consultations to address inquiries on financial policies and requirements● Provides self-pay pricing and reviews financial contracts● Reviews and approves loan payments from external lending companies● Explains insurance coverage, treatment costs, and identifies pre-authorization needs● Determines patient responsibility amounts and secures payments before procedures● Manages financial aspects of assigned patients throughout treatment plans● Verifies and records deposit and payment amounts● Investigates and resolves discrepancies, denials, appeals, and collections● Reviews patient bills for accuracy, completeness, and obtains missing information● Enters relevant ICD and CPT codes into practice management system for services provided● Processes refund requests● Conducts patient follow-up to ensure payment of outstanding co-payments, balances, coinsurance, etc.● Addresses patient inquiries on billing, financial policies, and claims● Submits claims for services rendered following insurance and employer guidelines● Updates patient accounts, verifies insurance coverage, and records changes in patient information with proper documentation.● Proficient in pre-certification processes to ensure timely approval for medical procedures and services● Skilled in verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations● Experience in communicating with insurance companies and healthcare providers to facilitate the pre-certification process● Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance with regulations● Strong organizational skills to manage pre-certification documentation and follow-up efficiently
