Bioinformatician | Computational Biologist | Machine Learning Enthusiast (5+ years)With a PhD in Computational Biology from IIIT-Delhi, I specialize in leveraging advanced machine learning/data-science techniques and bioinformatics to unravel complex biological systems such as Cancer to delineate oncogenic processes at a mechanistic level. Currently, I am a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Bioinformatics Group, BIO@SNS, Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa, Italy, where I am engaged in the project aimed at decoding and recoding onco-GPCR signaling through integrative bioinformatics and protein engineering. My journey began with a robust foundation in Physics (MSc, University of Delhi) and Electronics (BSc, University of Delhi), which paved the 'multidisciplinary' way for my transition into computational biology. My doctoral research was primarily focused on cancer prognosis and biomarker identification. At Biotix Pte Ltd, Singapore, I worked closely with the AI team to integrate diverse and complex data types, translating transcriptomic and genetic signals into innovative treatments for unmet medical needs. I have also contributed to various educational roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at IIIT-Delhi, teaching critical subjects like Mathematical Biology, Systems Biology, and Big Data Mining in Healthcare.My research (14+ papers) has been published in several esteemed journals, showcasing my expertise in cancer-informatics.     Currently working on the analysis of public bulk and single cell RNAseq transcriptomics data to explore the role of GPCR-related pathway, both downstream as well as upstream (i.e. ligand biosynthetic pathways), in mediating the interaction between cancer cells and the tumor microenvironment. This study is part of the project “Decoding and recoding onco-GPCR signaling through integrative bioinformatics and protein engineering”, funded through a MyFirstAirc Grant from the Italian Association of Cancer Research (AIRC; PI: Francesco Raimondi).
