With the addition of the new boats, I helped transition the unit's boat crews to establishing crew-served weapons aboard each vessel and ensured that each crew was efficiently and effectively trained to use the new weapons in one of the nation's most dynamic and strategically-vital waterways. Finally, I served as the unit's Intelligence Officer and worked with local, state, and federal government representatives, as well as key decision-makers within the maritime industry, to identify threats to the industry as well as the general public.
