I am presently working as a Senior Officer in Export Letter of Credit unit in the Trade Finance Operations of Doha Bank, Doha, Qatar since September 2008. I hold MBA credentials from Edinburgh Napier University London and Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialists (CDCS) credentials from London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) London.Key responsibilities overlooked: • Sep 2008 – Current | Overlooking the Export Documentary Credit (DC) processing unit and handling key clients - Qatar Energy LNG/Qatar Energy Marketing/Qatar Steel in the Business : -Responsible for performing all operational activities and initiatives of the Export Documentary Credit (DC) processing unit. -Ensure timely processing of Export DC transactions with focus on delivering quality service and effective operational support for all internal and external customers.I started my banking career with Sampath Bank Colombo in 2001 by joining International Operations Department as a trainee. In 2003 I have joined Trade Services Department as a Junior Junior Executive and worked my way through various sections of Trade Operations and was promoted as an Officer in 2007.I have represented Sri Lanka cricket in the Under 15 and 17 school teams and have toured England and Hong Kong. I have also represented Sri Lanka Cricket team in the Under 19 world cup held in Colombo in 2000.
