As a researcher currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the development of low-resolution hyperspectral imaging techniques for remote sensing, I have gained extensive experience in image processing, computer vision, spectral imaging, UAVs, and machine learning techniques. My research focuses on image stitching and feature detection in low-pixel resolution hyperspectral images, which could significantly contribute to the agricultural industry.My Master's degree research focused on brain-machine interfacing and its potential application in developing a meal assistant robot, which has equipped me with strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. During my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, I worked on various projects in mechatronics, industrial automation, and biomedical engineering, and developed foundational skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical communication.I have worked as a Research Engineer and Collaborator for various institutions, including the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan. I have also completed several university design and research projects during my studies and have done freelance work for companies such as Trelleborg Lanka and Brandix Lanka Limited. Additionally, I have won several awards for my work in various fields.My skills and areas of expertise include remote sensing, unmanned aerial vehicles, mechatronics, machine learning, programming, image processing, technical communication, 3D modeling, DIY prototyping, signal processing, drone piloting, brain-machine interfacing, and robotics.
