Provide leadership and guidance to engineering technical officers, technicians; instructs them in the procedures and practices of transmission line design; provides professional expertise in order to resolve unusual or emergency problems.• Facilitates internal and external collaboration by maintaining effective channels of communication with other departments and divisions. Provides the appropriate detail and supporting documentation associated with the design of transmission line projects.• Mastering of transmission line design techniques and technologies, and researches and develops innovations, alternatives and expansion of the same, with emphasis on logistics, economy and service. • Performs other duties as assigned.

As an Electrical Engineer in the early part of My career, with a proven track record in the successful design, construction, and commissioning of critical power infrastructure projects. My expertise spans various phases of high-voltage substations and transmission lines, contributing significantly to the expansion and enhancement of electrical grids.As the Electrical Engineer in charge, I spearheaded the design, installation, and commissioning of the Naula Grid Substation, a vital component of the TSSGSP project under ADB funding. This included the construction of a 1x31.5 MVA, 132/33kV substation in both Phase I and Phase II, where precision and attention to detail were paramount.In Package -2 Lot B2-A, I played a key role in the construction of a 25km, 132kV Transmission Line from Horana to Padukka. My responsibilities encompassed design, procurement, installation, and commissioning, demonstrating my ability to manage complex projects and coordinate diverse teams effectively.Package -2 Lot B2-B presented a unique challenge, and I successfully completed the Second Circuit Stringing of the 100km Habarana to Valachchenei 132kV Transmission Line under hot conditions while keeping the existing circuit energized. This showcased my technical prowess and commitment to project safety.In Package -1 Lot B, I led the construction of the New Polpitiya to Hambantota 220kV Transmission Line, covering the initial 25km segment. This project involved the installation of ACSR Twin Zebra conductors, Optical Fiber Ground Wire (OPGW), and Galvanized Steel Wire, contributing to the development of a robust transmission network.My career journey reflects a strong foundation in electrical engineering, a dedication to project excellence, and a commitment to teamwork. I am passionate about driving innovation in the power sector, ensuring reliable and sustainable energy solutions for the future.
