Project: Design Phase of faculty building of Faculty of Technology – LKR 1380 million (Estimated) and Construction of KDU Off Set press building - LKR 2 million• As the Lecturer, prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, practical sessions and examinations for undergraduate courses in the Faculty of Technology. Subjects: Technical drawings & CAD, Engineering Measurement & Surveying, Construction Technology, Estimating and Tendering in Construction.• Develop course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and examinations, ensuring they align with curriculum requirements• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, assisting them with course selection, career guidance, and academic challenges and supervise student projects, offering constructive feedback and support.• Participate in the review and development of curricula to ensure they are current and relevant to industry and academic standards and organizing Department Industry Consultative Board (DICB) meetings.• As the Civil Engineer, develop the detailed conceptual design 2D drawings and 3D models of 6 story faculty building of Faculty of Technology with ensuring the requirements, design specifications and industry standards.• Coordinate with architects, engineers, procurement team and other stakeholders to integrate inputs into the BIM model and collaborate with project teams to develop design solutions, providing technical expertise in BIM to enhance project outcomes.• Generate reports and visualizations from BIM models to support project planning, design reviews, and stakeholder presentations.• Developing a preliminary project plan, timeline, and milestone schedule to guide the project's execution. • Preparing procurement documentation for the investigation and preliminary stage of the project. • Monitoring and supervising undergraduate students in construction activities on-site, including earthworks, foundation construction, structural framing, and finishing work of the press building.

Project: Rehabilitation/ Improvement and Maintenance of 61.23 Km Rural Roads in Trincomalee District (TR 2) - LKR 2,797 million• As the Planning and Construction Engineer, develop detailed project plans and designing the road, considering factors such as terrain, traffic flow, and environmental impact with monitoring and guiding the technical teams.• Supervise construction activities on-site, including earthworks, paving, and drainage installation, to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.• Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to monitor work progress and identify any issues or deviations from the plan.• Liaise with clients, government agencies, and regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and clearances for road construction projects.• Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations to assess project requirements and constraints.• Optimize resource allocation to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to project budget.• Assist and monitor to prepare interim payments to contractors and suppliers based on the progress of work, proceed the monthly interim payment application from the client and monitor project expenditures and track costs against budget allocations, implementing cost-saving measures where possible to optimize project finances. • Assessing and valuing variations to the contract and ensuring they are accounted for in the project budget.• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement measures to maintain a safe working environment for all project stakeholders with identify potential risks and hazards.• Maintain accurate records of project activities, including progress reports, construction drawings, and material specifications and prepare regular reports including project plan for project management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and challenges.

Project: Surveying project and survey camp of Air Force Base, Ampara and MSTS Master plan project and Survey camp of Marksmanship and Sniper Training School (MSTS), Diyathalawa. • Deliver engaging and effective lessons, tutorials, and practical sessions for undergraduates in the Department of Civil Engineering in Faculty of Engineering. • Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students and assist students in understanding course content and addressing any academic challenges.• Conduct land and site surveys using various survey equipment and techniques for both project and teaching purposes.• Operate and maintain survey equipment, including total stations, GPS, levels, and other instruments and conduct aerial surveying with using drone technology. • Create accurate and detailed surveying plans and 3D model for the Master Plan projects.• Involve all admirative works in students’ surveying camp including site and personal safety during the period.

• Operation and monitoring activities in company owned metal quarries, crusher plants, ready mix concrete plant, asphalt concrete plant and precast plant.• Supervise construction activities on-site including earthworks, structural, asphalting, concreting, site laboratory and filed testing and conducting surveying and measuring activities.• Material testing of company products such as asphalt, ready mix concrete and aggregate.

Project: Rehabilitation/ Improvement and Maintenance of 83.29 Km Rural Roads in Kurunegala District (KU 1) - LKR 2,005 million• Assist in the planning, design, and execution of road construction projects under the guidance of senior engineers and project manager. • Participate in site surveys and data collection to support project planning and design activities and prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.• Support on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.• Monitor progress, quality, and safety of work performed by contractors and subcontractors and assist in conducting site inspections and preparing progress reports.• Assist in implementing quality control measures to ensure high standards of workmanship and conduct tests and inspections of materials and structures to verify compliance with project specifications.• Maintain effective communication with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
