Project: Design Phase of faculty building of Faculty of Technology – LKR 1380 million (Estimated) and Construction of KDU Off Set press building - LKR 2 million• As the Lecturer, prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, practical sessions and examinations for undergraduate courses in the Faculty of Technology. Subjects: Technical drawings & CAD, Engineering Measurement & Surveying, Construction Technology, Estimating and Tendering in Construction.• Develop course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and examinations, ensuring they align with curriculum requirements• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, assisting them with course selection, career guidance, and academic challenges and supervise student projects, offering constructive feedback and support.• Participate in the review and development of curricula to ensure they are current and relevant to industry and academic standards and organizing Department Industry Consultative Board (DICB) meetings.• As the Civil Engineer, develop the detailed conceptual design 2D drawings and 3D models of 6 story faculty building of Faculty of Technology with ensuring the requirements, design specifications and industry standards.• Coordinate with architects, engineers, procurement team and other stakeholders to integrate inputs into the BIM model and collaborate with project teams to develop design solutions, providing technical expertise in BIM to enhance project outcomes.• Generate reports and visualizations from BIM models to support project planning, design reviews, and stakeholder presentations.• Developing a preliminary project plan, timeline, and milestone schedule to guide the project's execution. • Preparing procurement documentation for the investigation and preliminary stage of the project. • Monitoring and supervising undergraduate students in construction activities on-site, including earthworks, foundation construction, structural framing, and finishing work of the press building.
