I was recruited by the former CEO of a prior employer as a founder and partner in this new venture. I established all technology processes/procedures and provided hands-on development supervision from concept to final product with a team of 2 developers, a project manager, and a content editor.HARVARD – Cut the time required to generate CME course websites from 10+ days to a few minutes by creating a prototype that allowed educators to import course content via a templated spreadsheet which delivered an entire microsite almost immediately. Once generated, the sites could be edited easily.MIT – Updated and made improvements to the main MIT site and 7 separate department sites.

I was recruited to lead a team of developers. I supervised a team of 4 to 30 (special project) while continually improving processes and helping grow revenue. • U.S. PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN – Led a 14-month, multimillion project to manage website and mobile application development for a 2012 presidential candidate. Hired 26 developers to handle a rapidly expanding list of tasks. I was recruited by the owner to set up all technology, from infrared cameras in the field, to the CRM, phones, hosting, database, and more. - Collaborated with owner to launch the business and helped the company grow from start-up to 100 clients in 1 year.

Market research, publications, and events firm, which managed SAPinsider, the largest independent membership site of SAP users in the world.- Recruited by CTO. Managed a team of 13 developers in the US. - Successfully brought 12 hardcover publications to the web and made them easy for customers to access. - Built a content management system around payment processing, scheduling, and subscriptions.- Led security initiatives to bring all payment processing into PCI compliance for WIS and its parent company.- Increased revenue by creating a pay per view video service around new technologies for subscribers.

Maintained a portfolio of 37 websites, ten of those were for conferences that were redesigned every year.Worked in DevOps managing Linux and Microsoft servers, SQL databases, F5 load balancers, Internal networking, Lotus notes, and built a custom CMS in ColdFusion.

What started out as a co-op job at a company called the400group turned in to my first start-up experience as TechTarget spun off. The400group was a publication that concentrated on IBM's AS400 and TechTarget spun off to start its first search engine site called searchAS400.com. Start-ups are awesome, and TechTarget was an essential part of my learning experience. This short internship during the dot com days was the seed for my future endeavors.

This was my first co-op opportunity and I took it, I was glad that I did because I learned very quickly that Finance was not for me. I was praised by my advisers for landing a job at Chase as a freshman in college. Developed an automated calculator for mutual fund accounting and was reprimanded as this tool would destroy the jobs of my entire team. Although this removed all human error and increased efficiency and accuracy it was frowned upon at the time.
