-Led the formalization and implementation of the Mobile Application Security Program at General Motors-Ownership of the Static Application Security Program and Fortify SAST at General Motors-Directly responsible for the security posture of GM’s mobile apps including 70+ internal and external mobile applications on managed devices and Google Play and Apple App Stores developed in languages including Native Android, Objective C, Swift, React Native, Xamarin, and Flutter/Dart-Independently conducted mobile pentests (Android and iOS) on external-facing mobile apps following OWASP Mobile Security Testing Guide to discover and exploit manual findings resulting in-Defined mobile processes, developed testing documentation supported by OWASP Mobile Security Project, and contributed to the GM Information Security Mobile Application Standards alongside device experts-Built strong relationships with the highest risk GM mobile app teams through weekly meetings where I provided security expertise and coached developers on scanning and vulnerability remediation-Implemented security into the mobile application SDLC by helping to integrate Fortify into the CICD pipelines (Jenkins and AzDo) and established pre-release security tollgate-Collaborated with vehicle and product cybersecurity architects on pentesting efforts and architecture reviews-Managed the pre-release security tollgate using Fortify SAST for all applications by supporting and enabling developers in a shift-left security approach constantly having to Think Customer-Proactively engaged cross-functional stakeholders to achieve Fortify upgrade goals and to troubleshoot Static automation issues working closely with Security Engineering, Security Tools, and Code Management teams-Facilitated and led weekly static security open support sessions for all GMIT lead developers to field live questions, assist with process, and discuss vulnerability remediation by coaching developers
