    At KU I was a solo admin for 17 users. I wore the developer hat, too, and I was the solo developer for large custom project to build Tech Transfer functionality.This large project is a custom build that brings Tech Transfer functionality into Salesforce. Tech Transfer is a very complicated process, and is very akin to contract life management. The key differences being that Tech Transfer requires several many-to-many relationships, custom Lightning components, triggers, and flows to fully reflect the life of a technology. Accomplishing this feat puts KU in league with a select few Universities that utilize Salesforce in such a complicated way.One of the first duties I was charged with was to make sense of the Salesforce org, as the system had become overburdened with too much code and was becoming difficult for users. Not only that, but the information in the system was difficult to untangle and report. I was able to revamp the entire org without having to re-instance, and was even able to switch the entire team over to the Lightning Experience.One of the larger, ongoing projects KUIC was a part of was getting information from different departments on campus and putting the information together in a digestible way. KUIC is now able to gather information from five different systems on campus and put all the data together to give a complete, 360 degree view of an account. Because of this data grouping, KUIC has been able to formulate custom Account Analytics and continuously improve the analysis.One of the main uses for Salesforce is the ability to create and track sales processes. At KUIC, I was able to develop two distinct sales processes. The first allows our Licensing Associates to market technologies for the University. The second allowed for tracking of "soft engagements" such as meetings and emails to track influence.
