In my role at the Summit Learning Program, I was instrumental in implementing a groundbreaking educational model that combines innovative instructional practices, school structures, and software. My contributions were pivotal in empowering students to achieve their full potential. Key aspects of my role included:Leadership Coaching: Provided in-depth coaching to district leaders, CMOs, and school administrators nationwide. My focus was on cultivating effective change management strategies, community engagement practices, and instructional methodologies that directly contributed to enhanced student outcomes.Instructional Practice Development: Actively worked with educators to integrate Summit Learning’s principles into their teaching. I trained educators and administrators on implementing and using Google Apps for Education to improve collaboration and student achievement. I utilized techniques such as gamification, mastery-based learning, and interest-based sessions to reach users of all skill levels and to drive immediate, measurable success.

Using school-wide trainings and one-on-one coaching sessions, I helped lead the the adoption of personalized learning at Evanston High School and across UCSD #1. I identified stakeholder needs through observations, collaboration with administrators, and analysis of student and teacher data, and I then systematically designed communication materials, trainings, and supports to enable successful adoption of personalized learning.

Using highly engaging content, I leverage a personalized learning approach to teach rigorous, individualized courses to high school students. I use a standards-based, mastery learning method of writing instruction that has helped my students make significant improvements as writers. I also help lead a district-wide personalized learning initiative.

I helped students qualify for the prestigious National Speech and Debate Tournament seven times in my five years as coach. I also coached three Wyoming state champions. My teams regularly won individual and team trophies in debate, platform (speaking), and interpretation (acting). I oversaw all recruiting, fundraising, and practice activities for our team. I motivated students, parents, and community members to invest in this powerful extracurricular activity.

I led students to dramatic improvements in their teaching and Spanish speaking abilities during intensive eight-week courses. I ensured that students were provided with a classroom environment that was at once nurturing and results-driven. As a Zone Coordinator, I oversaw a team of 10-12 teachers responsible for over 100 missionaries at any given time, and I led weekly collaboration and professional development meetings.
