Over the past year working for DHL Supply Chain, I have been given the chance to gain a diverse set of skills and to take on many different challenges. I have been placed on multiple customer-facing projects as well as numerous internal projects. Each project has been exceptionally different from the last but has offered me the space to broaden my expertise. I am responsible for several different solutions and projects throughout my time thus far with DHL Supply Chain.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Implemented multiple reporting and dash-boarding tools for internal and external use, applying SQL knowledge to generate queries and conduct analysis from different Warehouse Management System (WMS) databases and libraries• Organized and executed a plan to cut-over from test systems/servers to production systems/servers for project go-live• Participated in Day in the Life Of (DILO) testing with senior management and the customer to validate effectiveness of pick-path logic and ensure the WMS functioned properly for the end-user before site go-live• Managed a cloud-based document storage solution which eliminates 158,000 pounds of CO2 equivalent annually• Employed both JavaScript and CSS skills to design more efficient RF “smart” screens for end users• Lead the implementation strategy for site deployment creating the guidelines for accountability within roles across Retail IT

During my internship with DHL Supply Chain, I absorbed many valuable lessons and experiences while working in a corporate environment and in warehouse operations. I had the opportunity to be placed on multiple projects which allowed me to deep dive into the supply chain industry and learn the corporate structure of DHL Supply Chain. I had many different responsibilities throughout the course of the summer supporting various different projects. Responsibilities included:• Assisted with a go-live of a new warehouse operation completing testing within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) in preparation for upcoming inbound shipments• Collaborated with external consultants in order to complete and review test scripts for an implementation of a new ‘print and apply’ system expected to save over $330,000 annually • Updated Business Requirements Documents (BRD) to coincide with upcoming implementations, specifically focusing on the impact of IT• Analyzed the current safety protocol of DHL and relevant data to propose both short term and long term solutions to streamlining safety communication before a panel of over 60 business partners from all over North AmericaEach project I was placed on had a different impact and helped me to gain real-world experience through a corporate lens with a specific focus on IT. The experiences I have learned and the work completed has given me a much broader view of the world of IT and how this relates to the supply chain industry.

While employed by SwimOutlet I was afforded the opportunity to gain perspective on the inner workings of the supply chain industry. I was tasked with picking, packaging, and processing orders for thousands of customers around the world. Further enforcing my understanding of an e-commerce business and the data associated with that. Additionally, I used applications and systems which helped gained perspective on the implications of business intelligence. By using analytical methods, we could see the progress completed and future tasks. During my time at SwimOutlet, I was recognized for perfect attendance and was given many other learning opportunities.
