Anchored the "Single Parent and Orphan Children Post Tsunami" study in A&N Islands. Facilitated the design of the study, facilitated the different groups involved in the project (PRAYAS, ActionAid India, Save the Children, UNICEF), coordinating the field teams in Hut Bay (Little Andaman) and Car Nicobar Island (visited all the 14 villages during this wonderful experience). Prepared a document and shared with the Child Rights Group from A&N (that involved other NGOs). It was a wonderful experience living Car Nicobar Island.

Joined as Asst Manager for Vidarbha Region of Maharashtra. Worked as Manager for Rural Maharashtra for one year.

Incubated Child Rights Initiative "BACHPAN" in Bhopal in partnership with ActionAid India. Mentored the team, and conceived and designed for a gender balanced team composition at each layer, and diligently followed it. Conceived 22 weeks (one day a week in office and hand holding once a week in classroom) Process Training of Bal Sakhis (selected from slums of Bhopal with less than 10 years of schooling); a few of them, in a year's time, selected to be field workers, and six (out of total 11 Bal Sakhis) went on to become programme coordinators (one of the Bal Sakhis went on to become the State Education Campaign Coordinator)

Trying to understand Gandhi and Gandhians: While in Sewagram, I tried to understand Gandhi, and while doing this tried to understand Gandhians. So I tried using khadi till the tailors in Goregaon refused cut khadi (cloth) into pieces(!) For Gandhi Peace Centre: I was on a learning curve, and attempting everything thrown at me by the Chairman! In the process, for the first time, I came to know about my abilities in creative writing (and I was mildly admonished for flowery language!), documentation, report writing, and designing campaigns and networking. I was under the tutelage of Anupam (Mishra) for documentation, Mike Feingold for ecological farming, T Harnath for non-profit management. I ended being "Chief Everything Officer" for Gandhi Peace Centre stationed at Sewagram Ashram: from managing logistics, driving resource persons and guests at stations, planning, report writing, feature service (in collaboration with PANOS), mentoring fellows, networking, monitoring, and entertaining Gandhian activists in Sewagram.
