Design and Engineering of Residential and Commercial Buildings

• Define technical and production requirements of the product through customer interaction for precast industry. • Preliminary engineering for estimating purposes and create proposal contracts.• Gain customer acceptance by providing alternate cost-effective solutions and operational improvements. • Maintain good standing customer relations through site visits, attend conferences and social events.• Work with cross-functional teams – engineering, logistics and production teams to make sure customer needs and timelines are met.

• Worked on a variety of projects such as office buildings, parking structures, warehouses, retrofit / renovation of existing buildings. • As a part of Preconstruction Services team, responsibilities include preliminary design of the project, research innovative technologies to improve the product design and provide feasible solutions. Work with cross-functional teams by providing technical direction to ensure that initial design is executed well meeting the quality standards. • Provide guidance for junior engineers in preparing calculations package for permit approval. Calculations include gravity design: columns, beams, flooring systems - double tees, hollowcore planks, ribbed plank etc and lateral design: shear walls, moment frames, hybrid moment frame.• Ability to draft my own designs and model in 3D for presentation purposes.Project Management Experience (Sep 2019 – Aug 2020):• Support Senior Project Manager in preparation of project status reports.• Handle RFIs and resolve any construction site issues • Coordinate with external Architectural/Engineering teams and General Contractor on the project

As a part of Engineering team, responsibilities included• Design of precast concrete structures – warehouses and parking structures• Help in drafting shop drawings in AutoCAD for external approvals by EOR/AOR • Provide solutions for repairs in plant during production and in field during erection• Coordinate erection sequence and provide solutions for temporary bracing during erection
