a)Responsible for construction and post construction waste management plan, EIA of project activities, environment impact mitigation plan,Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP), monsoon and cyclone mitigation plan and health & safety plan.b)To work closely in coordination with client, engineer and his staff for effective review and implementation of CEMP, construction waste management, health & safety plan and monsoon and cyclone mitigation plan. c)To work and coordinate for IGBC compliance.d)To implement effectively safe Environment, Health and Safety procedure at site. e)Obtaining relevant environmental permits and approvals and to maintain the same for compliance up to date.Ensuring compliance of environmental monitoring as prescribed in contract to assess data, maintain records and generate timely reports for further submission to the Engineer/Client.f)Capacity building for all stake holders. Conducting induction program for all the new staff and providing periodical training to all working staff to create awareness/sensitize on good environmental, health and safety practices which needs to be followed at site.Working with and through the Engineer/Client to liaise with Karnataka state pollution control board and other relevant agencies on all matters concerning.g)Monitoring the project progress and coordination of different activities in compliance with waste management, Environment, Safety and Health procedure. h)Meeting regularly with the engineer, his staff and employer as and when required. Shall organize regular EHS meeting, coordination meetings for project progress review, passing of information, reporting of issues, review of current and upcoming events, reporting of environmental and safetyincidents/concerns, reports, notices, etc. and other matters relating to the project environmental, safety and health aspects.

a)Project management, monitoring and reviewing of all solid waste management projects like micro composting units, material recovery facilities, underground dustbins, dumpsite, solid waste transfer station, legacy waste biomining and urban sanitation projects like modern E-toilets, community toilets, public toilets, fecal sludge treatment plants. b)Support client in implementing, Swatch Bharath Mission (SBM),SWM and city sanitation plan, specifying time frame, operational components, guidelines and in channelling financial resources from state, central and externally aided sources and providing technical assistance required by client.c)Drafting of municipal corporation rules, regulations & policies related to sanitation and solid waste management.d)Support in defining and implementing service level benchmarks for SWM and urban sanitation agencies. e)Generating periodical reports on sanitation and interpretation of reports for improvement. To come up with effective enforcement modules for all policies adopted for sanitation.g)DPR and feasibility study of the new SWM and sanitation projects.h)Capacity building/IEC about sanitation and SWM for all stakeholders.i)Bid process management for SWM and sanitation projects. j)Compliance issue handling and liaising with the statutory bodies. k)Assist to client in formulation of guidelines for SWM and SBM.l)Monitoring of existing as well as upcoming contracts/projects of SWM and sanitation.m)To bring in and learn from successful projects of urban SWM and sanitation programs implemented in other cities and to develop collaborations for suitable models.n)Examine the need and possibilities of improving and securing the working conditions of field staffsand devise the appropriate rules and procedures to achieve the same and to improve and implement EHS compliance for all the projects. Any other required assignment. that may be required for successful implementation urban SWM, sanitation & SBM.
