• Senior member of the firm’s Investment Committee• Conduct fundamental analysis on South African and global companies in the Industrials (Retail, Consumer Goods, Construction, Healthcare), Mining, Energy, Utilities and Internet sectors. Previously covered Global & SA Property sectors.• Develop financial models on companies (including unlisted companies) to forecast their financial performance and determine their valuation.• Engagement with senior management (CEO, CFO) of companies (via 1:1 meetings or conference calls) as part of the due diligence process on companies • Preparation of Fundamental research reports on companies under my coverage and presentation to the Investment Committee.• Submit trading recommendations to the Chief Investment Officer and Dealing desk to trade on selected companies.• Analysis of company results and presentation to the Investment Committee in the Morning meeting.• Preparation of quarterly investment strategy reports (Global and South African Equities and Commodities) and presentation to the Investment Committee and Executive directors.• In charge of the Quantitative and Performance analysis team responsible for analysis of market data and calculation of the Funds’ performance and attribution analysis.• Presentation to institutional clients as part of their annual due diligence.• Member of the industry (Association of Savings Industry South Africa) Working Group responsible for the development of an industry standard for costs disclosures across the investment industry. • Responsible for the implementation of Responsible Investing principles across the firm’s portfolios and annual reporting to the PRI (Global organization promoting Responsible Investing principles for the investment industry)• Responsible for the relationship with data providers such as Morningstar, Thomson Reuters and Bloomberg and the accuracy of the Funds’ data on these platforms
