AECSS (Accident and emergency clinical support system) is a service-based system for emergency department of Singapore General Hospital that tracks the patient at various service levels like Registration, Triage, Consultation, Resuscitation, Critical Care, Observation and Other Discipline Doctors service. • Successfully managed to complete the development and implementation of “Accident and Emergency Clinical Support System” (AECSS) for Singapore General Hospital in Microsoft solution framework using Object oriented methodology in a logical 3-tier client server environment with MS-SQLServer 2000 as RDBMS and Visual Basic 6.0 as front end. The Business services were COM components using Visual Basic 6.0. The reporting tool used was Crystal Report 8.5 and the SAP-ISH interface via HL7-message was done using Visual C++. • Set-up the IT team managed the development & implementation of the application, which is worth of SGD 1 million approximately.• Designed and developed integration with vital sign equipment’s. • Designed, developed and implemented SAP-ISH – HL7 interface for A&E application.
