Most of them think it's very difficult to find a job in software industry. It is the most painful thing having these kind of thoughts even after investing 4 precious years of their life for engineering degree. I believe that this is not because students didn't pay a fair attention towards languages/technologies or they didn't focus on building career throughout engineering. The real problem is they didn't find someone who is mature enough to guide them towards the right direction. People tell students to learn 9-10 technologies/languages just to run their own business. From beginning of their engineering, every student impart a thought in their own mind getting influenced by the atmosphere that job is the ultimate objective and priority. No-one talks about start up, innovation just after being told the obstacles during start up. Nobody gives a thought about the satisfaction and living the life by their own and being the own boss instead of working for someone else. As per my own experience, i believe you don't need to focus on learning everything. You just need to learn 1-2 language/technology but with expertise. You should be master in whatever you learn so that no one can ever think to compete with you.
