McAfee is a world leader in Networking and Security Products. I was fortunate to be a part of this global organization. Here, all my projects entailed professionally communicating with clients, peers, senior team members and subsequently managing both the technical as well as the soft aspects of the business.☞ Primary responsibilities included but were not limited to:► Providing end-to-end engineering leadership for developing McAfee support products besides providing solutions for day to day problems and expert architectural vision for the products respectively. ► Acting as hands-on coder besides establishing & sustaining best practices of engineering in order to drive execution excellence and maintain high product quality levels.► Building and leading a world class engineering organisation of Development and QA engineers by consistently engaging with product support, product management and end customers.► Effectively building product road maps, managing cross site development engineers as well as handling multiple technical teams to deliver common organizational goals flawlessly.► Sustaining and releasing incremental versions of the products besides releasing periodic patches to demonstrate product improvisations.► Working in a team environment and acting as mentor, guide and associate at all times for other team members.► Attending international conferences and seminars on various subjects and representing my Co. in a positive light at all times.

In this role, as a Software Engineer, I worked in a team of 5 members and reported to Project Manager. A team of Analysts and Senior Software Engineers, besides Subject Matter Experts assisted us in completing our projects on time.☞ Primary responsibilities included but were not limited to:► Performing research, analysis and testing of network and application vulnerabilities and documenting detailed penetration test reports.► Performing Web-application/Network/Port/Wireless Vulnerability scanning using metasploit and publicly available exploits.► Exploiting web application vulnerabilities such as cross-site scripting, SQL injection, directory traversal, man-in-the-middle attacks, authentication bypass, and command injection.► Demonstrating expertise and experience of conducting vulnerability assessments as per defined quality standards.► Generating custom doc/pdf files that test for the existence of vulnerability besides examining network captures (PCAP files), IDS/Firewall logs for vulnerabilities.► Improving the workings of company systems by effectively analyzing security issues besides creating and implementing security strategies.► Designing a series of penetration tests as a basis for more advanced testing, resulting in ease of strategic tests development.

My first job as Associate Software Engineer equipped me with the initial training required to understand corporate culture, business relationships as well as technicalities of operating on a day to day basis in a formal work environment. I reported to the Project Manager and worked in a team of 10 Software Engineers, fully qualified in their respective fields.☞ Primary responsibilities included but were not limited to:► Understanding the different phases of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and how it is executed step-by-step during a project.► Understanding the role of software engineers, analysts and Project Managers and how they must perform in order to arrive at desirable outputs every day.► Understanding how products are developed, designed, tested and then given out to customers such that reviews are handled until customers are fully satisfied.► Implementing all possible disciplinary measures such as punctuality in order to be fully productive and maintain lower turnaround times for the products.► Upgrading my knowledge and skills required for effectively developing and testing software products so that my organization may truly benefit by my contribution.► Reporting my progress on a daily basis to seniors and communicating with peers regularly to operate effectively in the team.
