chandra thomas is a writer-actor-producer originally from New York. She recently wrapped as Executive Story Editor on the single-cam comedy, TACOMA FD. Previously, she staffed on the Emmy-nominated farewell season of the multi-cam comedy, MOM, and a new adult-animated comedy series for Amazon. chandra’s also currently developing an hourlong series for Paramount TV Studios. Also a playwright, her rom-com-drama, THE BUZZER, has won several awards, including being named a Featured Finalist in the Blue Ink Playwriting Award; she was a recent Echo Theatre Young Playwrights Fellow. As an actor, chandra’s credits include television shows 9-1-1, LAW & ORDER: SVU, and BLUE BLOODS, and films like LABOR DAY and SWEET LORRAINE. chandra’s been a producer on short and feature-length projects, and also produces with her company, Greater Film Festival-- where they amplify stories for the greater good. She also co-founded viBe Theater Experience, an award-winning, non-profit dedicated to empowering teen girls through the performing arts and education. chandra earned BA degrees in Theatre and Sociology from Vanderbilt University, and holds an MFA in Acting from Columbia University. She’s the proud daughter of immigrants, has gleefully lived all over the country and around the world, and absolutely loves baseball.
