More than three decades of experience in building, scaling and managing high margin businesses in the financial services space with significant exposure to the investment services, ESG Research, ESG strategy, Climate Change analysis on business, regulations, financial markets, analytics, credit ratings, and risk management spheres. In the last two decades, I have worked with pioneering global companies such as CRISIL and MSCI, developing their core businesses and adding new products and revenue streams in the South Asian markets. At CRISIL (2001-2013), I worked with an exceptionally talented and highly motivated team to build and drive 3 high-margin non-regulatory businesses related to fixed income research, risk solutions and SME ratings for institutions. During 2013 and early 2019, I got the unique opportunity to build MSCI’s business in India by strategizing, operationalizing and executing plans with the support of a handpicked team. I had been instrumental in popularizing ETFs and ESG ratings in the country. In my current role as the Managing Partner at ECube, I drive business outreach, corporate and investor engagement, risk Management & information technology for the Climate Finance business. I am also very much involved in various ESG & Climate change related policy discussions in IndiaIn recent years, I have worked with various stakeholders in India to evangelize the concept and relevance of ESG. I also collaborate with the world’s leading influencers, bodies and organizations focused on analyzing, predicting and mitigating Climate Change risks. Additionally, I am a part of the technical working group on Sustainable Finance regulations constituted by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
