Broadcaster and activist with a passion for diversity and inclusion. With a background in communication and media studies, I have worked as a producer, journalist, and radio and TV host for media outlets and various production companies in Iceland, covering topics such as culture, current affairs, and social justice. In 2020, I founded Mannflóran, an educational platform that provides educational workshops and consultancy services on diversity, inclusion, and racism to schools, companies, and organisations. Mannflóran also produces content for TV and radio, including a documentary series that aired on RÚV in 2023 and currently a podcast series available on all major podcast platforms. I'm also the co-founder and chairwoman of Her Voice, a non-profit organization that raises awareness of the experiences of women of foreign origin in Iceland, enabling greater understanding and acceptance across Icelandic society. As a British national with Icelandic and Jamaican heritage, I draw on my own experiences of marginalisation and other to mediate stories from similar backgrounds and advocate for change. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in postcolonial studies at SOAS University of London, where I explore the intersections of race, gender, and power in different contexts and regions. I aspire to use my skills and knowledge to create more inclusive and equitable media and educational spaces.
