Chanel Dubofsky is an experienced freelance writer with regular contributions to major feminist, health, and cultural websites. Her writing on reproductive health, abortion access, religion, and pop culture can be found in New York Magazine, Lilith, Mashable, Modern Fertility, Ravishly, The Forward, and others. She is the creator of the Marriage Project, an interview series about marriage in the media, experience and imagination. In 2015, she received an MFA in Fiction from Vermont College of Fine Arts, where she wrote her critical thesis on the literature emerging from the Occupy Wall Street movement. She is at work on a novel about American Jews in Israel, and appears in the documentary My So-Called Selfish Life, about the choice to be childfree. She has taught writing at Lilith Magazine, Vermont College of Fine Arts. and Tongass Mist Writers. She is also a seasoned mentor, immersion experience leader and group facilitator. Chanel has worked at the Hillels at Oberlin College and Columbia University/Barnard College She has staffed social justice immersion experiences to Israel, South and Central America and within the United States.
