I am an energetic, confident, empathetic and determined person who works well with others and makes patients feel at ease. My personality, work ethic and dedication combined with my clinical skills, experience and knowledge me an asset to any team. I am currently a Nurse Care Manager at Priority Health. My patients feel confort from my support, confidence that my knowledge can assist them and gratitdie for the impact that I make in their lives. I have forged strong relationships amongst my peers and have developed a reputation in my role as somebody who can creativly problem solve, utilize resources and support fellow staff to work at their best capacities. I am a Mentor for new employees on our team. I also am a part of multiple workgroups to improve our workflows, including documentation efficiency and accuracy, team collaboration and software testing and rollout education. I have a solid foundation for the detail oriented culture that is Health Care. I always look forward to the challenge of developing my knowledge and skills in any role I have.My previous experiences as a RN at CMH, Skilled Home Care RN, Emergency Room Nurse, Med Surg Unit Coordinator and CNA have provided me an opportunity to experience health care from many different angles. As a Nurse at Ionia CMH I became more aware of the community needs and mental health care in real time. As a Home Care Nurse I learned to adapt to my surroundings and creativiely problem solve in the field and build relationships with my patients. As an ED nurse I was able to refine my ability to prioritize care and use critical thinking in high pressured situations. Prior to my time as an RN I still worked in health care contributing to my wellroundedness as a Nurse. As a unit coordinator I learned how to be a liaison between interdisciplinary team members. Finally, my time as a CNA opened my eyes to my love of health care and taught me how to be empathetic and patient centered above all else.Overall, I have been in the health care field for over 12 years. I attended Montcalm Community College where I graduated with high honors and received multiple scholarships and awards. Before health care I spent time as a graphic designer and as assistant manager in a pre-press department. My unique background has given me tools I need to be uniquely competitive in the health care market.
