As the Head of Finance at VUM Insurance, I oversee the financial operations of one of the leading emerging business insurance underwriters in South Africa. I have been in this role since July 2022, after working as a Financial Administrator for 10 months at the same company. I have a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Economics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where I won the Allan Gray Achievement Award for the best fourth year student in 2018. I also have a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Applied Economics from the same university, and have completed Level 1 of the CFA Program, scoring in the top 10 % of all candidates in my cohort. I have developed strong skills in data analysis and automation, using tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Power Automate to streamline processes and generate insights. I am passionate about applying my economic knowledge and data skills to support the growth and sustainability of VUM Insurance, and to deliver value to our customers, partners, and stakeholders. I am a collaborative, adaptable, and innovative finance leader, who strives to uphold the highest standards of ethics and excellence in my work.
