• Responsible for reviewing customer applications and commercial specifications• Participate in the pre-bid clarification meetings and raise all bid clarifications in consultation with Engineering and the Client• Review the project with Engineering, Project Management and Sales Leaders in identifying issues and opportunities, and to implement solutions with a competitive proposal• Prepare margin analysis with detailed cost estimation of the system ensuring all items covered – i.e. components, overheads, and services required to execute the offered system• Prepare complete proposal packages including the price approval matrix, commercial terms and presentation materials for review and approval by Senior Management • Initiate project kick-off meeting and prepare hand-over report – i.e. proposal, project timeline and summary for further execution by Project Management Team of the awarded project• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing and develop actions to ensure system specifications, design, technical and logistical requirements are met
Sales Engineer
• Review technical specification & service scope requirements and respond to RFP/RFI/RFQs/Bids• Qualify & assist customers with selection and application of air quality instrumentations • Provide technical and commercial support to Customers, Commercial Sales team, and Selling Channels• Work closely with other functional areas to collaborate, gain support and assistance in execution of proposals/quotes/bids; i.e. Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Services• Make joint sales calls with Commercial Sales Team and Channel Partners to establish executive level presence in key accounts, and build understanding of customers and sales issues• Interact closely with Commercial Sales Leaders in identifying issues and opportunities, to implement solutions and drive business intelligence, and promote the effective use of sales information and analysis• Maintain accurate and current records of proposals, opportunities, accounts, contacts, leads and actions via database i.e. Salesforce.com CRM system
Technical Support Engineer
• Diagnose and resolve clients’ technical problems and system conflicts, involving hardware/software operations and basic troubleshooting• Provide telephone, on-site, Internet, and email support for customers, sales staff, and field service personnel in applications of Microplate Instrumentation Business, Molecular Biology, and Sample Preparation & Separation products• Assist in performing technical diagnosis of operational problems and repairs/calibrations on units to ensure that the equipment is operating to the customer’s complete satisfaction and manufacture specifications• Train less-experienced service personnel including domestic and international customers on technical diagnosis and equipment applications• Serve as a customer advocate and ensure that technical issues are resolved in a timely manner• Maintain communication with customer to ensure understanding of status, cost, and timing of all aspects of the service event • Collect both internal and external complaints, technical questions & resolutions and input them into the company database in an efficient manner
