Chang H. Kim is an Assistant Professor at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou, China. He also serves as the Deputy Director of Global Affairs for the College of Industry-Entrepreneurs. His primary research interests include circular economy business models and product-service system (servitization) in Asian countries. In 2023, the Academy of Management designated his paper, based on his PhD research, as the 'Best Paper' at the 83rd Annual Meeting (Division: Organizations and the Natural Environment). He is a member of the Circular Economy Working Group for the coffee sector at the International Trade Centre in Geneva, Switzerland. Additionally, he acts as a subject matter expert on the circular economy agenda for the Korean Environmental Industry & Technology Institute, a quasi governmental organization affiliated with the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea.Prior to his current role, he served as a Lecturer at Republic Polytechnic in Singapore for 6 years (2013-2019), where he chaired modules in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior. He continues to contribute to the field as the Vice President for the Korean Association of Human Resource Development, a national academic society in South Korea. His opinion and interview pieces have appeared in Times Higher Education, Euronews, and leading media outlets in South Korea.
