I recently received a master’s degree in Business Analytics at the Paul Merage School of Business at University of California, Irvine. Prior to studying at UCI, I graduated from the Eller College of Business at University of Arizona majoring finance.Upon graduation from University of Arizona, I worked for Starbucks Korea as a store manager for 2 years. While I was managing the store, I was able to improve a profitability, emphasizing the optimization of operations based on measurable data, such as financial statements. I kept looking at the data carefully, and one day I felt the need of remodeling for the store. So, I proposed remodeling and I became in charge. Consequently, I successfully completed the remodeling.During the remodeling, I was interested in the data science. So, I moved to a local consulting firm called Nemo partners as a consultant. I was dispatched to the restructuring team of our client, Daeshin Machinery, which is the automobile transmission manufacturer. I was in charge of improving efficiency of cash flow and inventory management.I have learned restructuring strategy; however, I felt the need to study data science in depth. So, I entered UCI and I studied statistics, machine learning models and programming languages for data science. I also participated in some data analytics projects, including Capstone project with Edwards Lifesciences as a student business analyst. My friends called me CHALLENGER, because the pronunciation of Chang in my name is similar to that of challenger, and I am actually passionate about learning and taking on new challenges. Now, I am ready to face the next challenge!
