I am a seasoned, lifelong educator with a passion for building meaningful, positive relationships with youth, colleagues, families, communities, and organizations. Whether occupying the role of teacher, camp counselor, principal, or director of education programs, I have been grateful for the opportunity to attend to the academic, social-emotional, interpersonal, and holistic needs of others. Part of what compels me and informs my work right now is my belief that we have to rethink and re-evaluate how we measure success in our communities and how we communicate those metrics to our youth, communities, stakeholders, and policymakers. Our students are more than test scores and quantitative points on a graph; our communities are much more than deficits and problems to be solved. A lover of radical candor, abolitionist teaching, and showing up as my authentic self, I seek to inspire and be inspired each day.
