Project Uplift is an agency whose main goal is to help children develop constructive, happy lives so that the delinquency rate in our county will decrease.Project Uplift is governed by the Lee County Youth Development Center's Board of Directors, administrator of a local ad valorem tax, our primary funding source. Additional major support comes from the Cities of Opelika and Auburn, the United Way of Lee County, and several voluntary contributions. The Department of Psychology, in the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University, provides in-kind services and office space to the volunteer program through the Psychological Services Center.As a roamer, I visit the children on the waiting list who have not yet been partnered with a "Big Sister or Big Brother."

- Greet guests and patrons personally and on the telephone- Offer appropriate seating arrangements- Present menus and silverware- Ensure the quantity of menus is sufficient to cater to the number of guests- Relay to-go orders to the kitchen and ensure all orders are filled in a timely and accurate fashion- Set up dining rooms and make reservation arrangements- Maintain clean and organized tables and work area- Manage event related work including setting up tables and maintaining both exterior and interior of the restaurant
