2016 - 2017: Created and executed a project on glioblastoma multiforme, the most aggressive form of brain cancer, along with a team of undergraduate students. Several months were spent doing dry lab research before creating protocols. Subsequent work in the lab was performed over the course of the summer and early into the school year. The project won the Gold Standard at the international competition as well as the Audience Choice Award. The project was also presented at the Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Conference (MURC), the largest undergraduate conference in Western Canada, as well as the Paths to a Cure Conference at UBC. 2017 - 2018:Designed and tested a non invasive, early screen for non small cell lung cancer along with a team of undergraduate students. About half a year was spent on project design with about two months in the lab testing the design for effectivity. The project was presented at the international BIOMOD conference and was awarded Silver Standing. The project was also presented at the Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Conference (MURC), the largest undergraduate conference in Western Canada**BIOMOD is an annual biomolecular competition held for undergraduate students around the world created by the Wyss Institute at Harvard.
