The Non-Invasive Neurostimulation Therapies (NINET) Laboratory at the University of British Columbia (UBC) focuses on researching the clinical applications of non-invasive neurostimulation therapies to treat those afflicted with severe mental disorders. Current duties include qualitative quality control of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of neuroimaging study data.

Assist with research studies in the Academic Associate Emergency Medicine Program at St. Paul's Hospital in the Emergency Department. The program is designed to teach students the fundamentals of clinical research highlighting basic research design, research ethics, data collection and good clinical practices. Duties include working closely with faculty in the Emergency Department screening, recruiting, and consenting patients for a variety of studies including patient enrolment, data collection, and entry for current studies. Current studies include the RACKED trial: Rapid Agitation Control with Ketamine in the Emergency Department. The study will compare the effectiveness of intramuscular ketamine to a standard combination of intramuscular medications in patients presenting to the emergency department (ED) with agitation and violent behaviour.

Oversaw and ran all executive UBC Women in Science Club functions including all events, budget details, and approving all club communications. Oversaw the undergraduate mentorship program that connects dozens of undergraduate females in STEM fields with professionals in industry and academia. Ran weekly executive team meetings and delegated tasks to the executive team. Established short and long term club goals and executed them accordingly with an emphasis on mentorship, community building, and connecting people. Created a bigger support system with Women in CS at UBC by fostering new collaborations. 2016 - 2017: Created and executed a project on glioblastoma multiforme, the most aggressive form of brain cancer, along with a team of undergraduate students. Several months were spent doing dry lab research before creating protocols. Subsequent work in the lab was performed over the course of the summer and early into the school year. The project won the Gold Standard at the international competition as well as the Audience Choice Award. The project was also presented at the Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Conference (MURC), the largest undergraduate conference in Western Canada, as well as the Paths to a Cure Conference at UBC. 2017 - 2018:Designed and tested a non invasive, early screen for non small cell lung cancer along with a team of undergraduate students. About half a year was spent on project design with about two months in the lab testing the design for effectivity. The project was presented at the international BIOMOD conference and was awarded Silver Standing. The project was also presented at the Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Conference (MURC), the largest undergraduate conference in Western Canada**BIOMOD is an annual biomolecular competition held for undergraduate students around the world created by the Wyss Institute at Harvard. Promoted events on social media as well as regularly kept up current postings of women in STEM fields. Regularly kept in contact with our club's members via email to provide information on events and opportunities. **UBC Women in Science strives to provide opportunities for undergraduate females in science. A highly successful mentorship program where undergraduate students are paired with females already in the industry is one of our biggest pillars. Other events include lab tours around campus, a professional development workshop, and a career panel night.

As the communications coordinator, I had the chance to combine my passion for bringing awareness to mental illnesses with my passion for social media and event marketing. **UBC Mental Health Awareness Club strives to bridge the gap between the stigma of mental illnesses and its omnipresent nature, especially during university years.
