This is my journey from grief!In December 2020, I lost my soulmate ….Through his passing my purpose began to unfold. It re-ignited in me a passion to not only make a difference for people who were not being heard but to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of those struggling with their mental health.This was the beginning of my journey of self-discovery – becoming more confident, helping me to realise that blocks are surmountableThis was proven to me in April last year when I was challenged by my friend to join LinkedIn as a means of connecting with people At first I did not believe it was the platform for me but I took on a coach and the journey has been amazing. Not only have I made some incredible friendships but was approached by a LinkedIn connection to become a radio presenter!!!... 2021 was an incredible year. I created 2 Calendars and photo book, expanded my network, swam 1.4 miles, started my Polar Bear Challenge, joined Smile Radio and raised over £3000 for Mental Health Foundation – all guided by that inner voiceThrough radio presenting I have the opportunity to immerse myself into interviews, listener stories, learning about other people and connecting to people in relation to mental health (Robin has been my reason!)This new role has opened my eyes to what other people have been experiencing, and in turn allowed me to gain a deeper understanding about those struggling with their mental health. Above all it has provided me with a means of channeling my grief Supporting those struggling with their mental health is the thread that runs through all I do - knowing that if I can help just ONE person then it is all worth it.I am a life Coach and will be filtering this through my radio station to give people a voice who are not being heard.❤️
