Provided support for three clinical informatics projects at the Division of General Internal Medicine in the Feinberg School of Med. Coordinated with several teams to achieve study goals, assisted with creating new assessment tools, and monitored ongoing participants involved in current studies.Developed outreach materials for recruitment, enrolled/consented participants and managed collected health data.

Managed a clinical informatics research project examining human factors principles in relation to medication related decision support in the electronic health record. Projects include creating a poster for the 2013 BWH Innovation Day, data analysis for a large-scale evaluation of the Brigham & Women's medical record, medical record coding, editing and co-authoring a paper on human factors principles and medication alerts and drafting an initial manuscript for Aim 1 of the project.

Assisted on several microbiology projects with doctoral and post-doctoral students researching superoxide in heterotrophic bacteria and fungi. Tasks included independently designing experiments with minimal oversight, learning cutting-edge lab techniques, presenting results to lab members, keeping a detailed record of all lab work and co-authoring a research paper that was accepted and published by Science.

Worked with veterinarians, epidemiologists and physicians on a USAID research grant awarded to the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Responsibilties included researching the connection between animal population health and public health, graphic design projects for academic presentations, editing papers for publication, composing profiles for team members working in the field in Africa and Southeast Asia, coordinating local and international travel and event planning.

Was selected for a 6 month co-op internship at the Globe West bureau which entailed overall responsibility for office administration, handling press releases, assisting fellow reporters with research for articles, editing and filing news briefs and writing articles for online and print publication.
