Chantel’s mission is to inspire and equip others with skills to make a life worth living. She desires to live daily with optimism, and gratitude, being a light in someone’s darkness.Chantel is a Licensed Master of Social Work clinician working as a School Social Worker. She graduated with her Bachelor of Social Work, Summa Cum Laude, from Georgia State University. She made the President / Dean list at Georgia State University every semester. She was an active member of the Omicron Gamma chapter of Phi Alpha Honor Society — the highest honor for a social work student. Most recently she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a perfect 4.0 GPA from The University of Georgia's Advanced Standing Master of Social Work program with an emphasis on clinical and community partnership.After serving four years of active duty in the United States Air Force, she discovered her passion for helping vulnerable and diverse populations. She is interested in identifying risk factors in youths to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline system. Chantel feels this critical intervention will be a by-product of reducing mass incarceration, which will assist in abolishing prisons and possibly implementing restorative justice approaches nationwide.
