I have my Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Physical Geography from Brock University. My education background as well as my work experience has given me the opportunity to become familiar with Geographic Information Systems, field surveying, and cartographic projects. I am currently working online toward Certification as an Environmental Professional focusing on Environment Management Systems/Risk Assessment/Health and Safety.My employment as a Land Application Coordinator with Terrapure Environmental required me to be proficient in reading and following government regulations. I prepare maps using ArcGIS from data collected through the use of a GPS system and on site field assessments to outline areas available for Non Agricultural Source Material (NASM) spreading. I have worked closely with my colleagues in both office and field settings to ensure we are always in compliance with regulations. This has given me the ability to gain a strong background in team work and communication. In the same respect, site inspections and field flagging (to protect sensitive features) require good time management and independence while being thorough and paying attention to detail. Working with the strict regulatory timelines and occasional restrictions of weather has strengthened my ability to manage assigned tasks on top of my regular duties.
