About Stephanie Chao

I am a Stanford University graduate (Class of 2020) with a major in Human Biology (concentration in neuroscience) and a minor in Computer Science. I am passionate about education and health disparities in marginalized communities and work with communities of color to address education and achievement gaps in Khmer and Hmong youth. I really enjoy learning about computer science principles and have a budding interest in business operations.I thrive working on teams and projects, enjoy developing things (programs, communities, relationships, products), and love transforming goals into tangible, achievable steps. I enjoy projects with a design aspect and am excited to explore the product management field of work.As a first generation, low income, Cambodian-American female interested in tech and education, I am proud of my accomplishments so far and am eager to push myself even more to continue growing, learning, and giving back. I really enjoy expressing myself through dance, listening to kpop music, watching korean dramas, practicing photography as well as learning other languages and about other cultures in my free time. I also have an unparalleled passion for the KPOP group BTS and love eating bread and popcorn!
