I was the Administrator at both Edgewater Skilled Nursing Center and Broadway by the Sea, two skilled nursing facilities in Long Beach, CA with reputations for providing top quality care. After running Edgewater for four years, consistently growing census and bottom line earnings, receiving the North American Healthcare administrator of the year award in 2019, I took over Broadway as well. Most importantly, I got to spend my time caring for people and helping them get stronger. It was a win-win.

I led the marketing for key business lines and growth initiatives at this $1b+ home healthcare company – including Apria's Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) business, its industry-leading sleep apnea/CPAP business, and its clinical disease management and online ordering technology platform.I also ran multiple strategic corporate business alliances with external partners; I built integrated cross-platform communications campaigns targeting physicians and patients; and I led key field sales initiatives to ensure sales and marketing success.

Oversaw market strategy development in key markets for $1.7b global leader in surgical and transcatheter heart valves and hemodynamic monitoring. Developed strategic pathway for growth in existing markets; evaluated new business opportunities and the product lifecycle roadmap; collaborated with clinical, R&D and regional marketing.Specific initiatives include an emerging market strategy and investment pathway for India and Brazil; a market strategy roadmap for the Critical Care business to achieve long-term growth by advancing into key adjacencies; a succcessful case for business investment in a key internal manufacturing capability.

Awarded a progression of increasingly important assignments at this $1.5B global medical device business unit of Covidien/Medtronic specializing in respiratory and patient monitoring products. Started as the Director of Market Research, creating a market research function and formal VOC process where none had existed before. Then advanced to Director of Global Upstream Marketing (New Modalities), leading the group whose role was to evaluate new market opportunities, bring new product concepts through the product development pipeline and ultimately to launch into key markets.Highlights including launching important new products in both the airways and patient monitoring spaces, uncovering critical customer insights that led ultimately to a major emerging market acquisition and leading cross-functional teams across multiple functions in this matrixed organization; supervised up to 5 direct reports.
