I took over leadership of the whole department in November 2014 after six years as entertainment editor.

• Led rebranding of weekly entertainment guide (XLent magazine) to interactive website (www.austin360.com) to strengthen cross-branding and merge news content with lifestyle stories. • Supervised relaunch of rebranded Austin360 tab to establish it as the city's "going out" guide. • Direct a team of 12+ staff and freelance writers who produce content for print and austin360.com. Collaborate with photographers, page designers, videographers and online staff on story presentation.• Supervise coverage of Austin's two biggest entertainment events and music festivals: South by Southwest (six days, 16,000+ official attendees just for music) and Austin City Limits (three days, 75,000 daily attendance), and the growing Fun Fun Fun Fest (three days, 10,000 daily attendance)• Improved relationships with festival organizers, leading to more access for coverage and work space.• Expanded extensive preview coverage and daily live coverage for nationally recognized events.• Maintain awareness and plan coverage of Austin's active entertainment scene throughout the year.• Led coverage of two new large-scale entertainment events in Austin, the Austin Food and Wine Festival and the Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival.• Co-edit daily events listings, managing huge volume of emailed information from the public and Scene: coordinating with all writers in Life & Arts section to ensure listings include the best of Austin's many events.• Maintain extensive awareness of Austin entertainment and social scenes by attending events and building ties with key players.
